Electronic Health Record Transition
Electronic Health Record Transition
Beginning October 6th, 2025, we will be transitioning to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. During this time, our processes may take a little longer than usual. As part of this transition, we will also be moving to Patient Gateway/My Chart for our patient portal.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve your care experience.
FAQ's
- When can I sign up if I don't have an account?
- We ask you to please sign up now! As soon as we make the switch, we need all patients to have an account so they are able to receive communication.
- How do I create my EPIC Patient Portal (Patient Gateway) account?
- If you do not already have an existing EPIC profile (Patient Gateway) from a physician at another practice, visit
www.patientgateway.org to sign up. If you already have an account, you do not need to create a new one.
- What is EPIC?
- EPIC is a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system used by more than 2,100 hospitals and 60,000 clinics, approximately 400,000 physicians nationwide.
- Who is moving to EPIC?
- Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem is switching to Epic across all three offices: Salem, Beverly, and Topsfield.
- Will this impact my care?
- This change will not impact your ability to access care or the cost of care. It will enhance communication across your care teams.
- What changes can I expect?
- Patient Portal: When you log on to Patient Gateway, you will see Mass General Brigham (MGB) at the top - don't worry - you are in the right place and are accessing the PAGS portal!
- Appointment Reminders & Billing Emails: Appointment reminder emails and billing statement notification emails will, after October 6th, include MGB logo, and will be accessed via Patient Gateway.
